Chief Commercial Manager for leading telecommunications company Airtel, Charles Kamoto is acting managing director of the company in Malawi while Dr Matthews Mtumbuka an information technology (IT) director is now cluster IT governance lead for Malawi and Zambia.

Kamoto moved from rival Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) where he worked for 15 years to Airtel as chief commercial manager.
He is the second Malawian to be at the helm of Airtel in Malawi, the first was Dr Saulos Klaus Chilima, who is now State vice president.
Airtel has also moved Mtumbuka from Rwanda back home as Airtel IT manager since February last year.
According to Mtumbuka, he is excited “to be endowed with such a huge task.”
The deployment of Mtumbuka adds value to the commitment of Airtel in diversifying its local and international human resource managerial experiences.
