Former First Lady Dr Patricia Shanil Dzimbiri (formerly Mrs Muluzi) has sourced physiotherapy equipment worth K500 million from United Kingdom that is being distributed to centres that deals with people with disabilities.

Shanil, now Balaka West MP said the 40 foot container is already in the country and her passion is to help children with disabilities who are in need of the equipment that also include wheel chairs.
Officials from a Catholic run Mtendere School of Disabilities thanked Shanil on Monday for the equipment, saying it will assist children at the school who were in need of the facilities.
Shanil said some people who will benefit from the donation are from Machinga east whose legislator Esther Jolobola helped foot the shipping costs from the United Kingdom.
Shanil said she solicited the equipment last year when she went to the UK to see her children.
Physionet, the UK charity that made the donation was formed in 2005 by Peter Thomson.
