The new Ambassador of Spain to Malawi, Alicia Moral Revilla says her focus area while in office will be to encourage big Spanish companies to come and invest in Malawi's infrastructural and energy development sectors.

She said this on Wednesday at the Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe where she presented her letters of credence to President Professor Peter Mutharika.
Revilla said Spain has got so many big companies that handle infrastructure and energy development which she said will be good for Malawi's economic growth.
Apart from wooing Spanish investors, the Ambassador also plans to strengthen bilateral relations of the two nations for the benefit of all.
“Now that I am a full Ambassador, I plan to enhance and strengthen political and bilateral relation between Spain and Malawi.
“In the near future we will have high level trips to Spain and Malawi as exchange programs so that we can learn from each other things of National development,” she said.
According to Revilla she also intends to try and help in the growth of the economy of Malawi with her Country's support in different sectors of National Development.
The Ambassador will be based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
