Unexpected heavy down pour on Monday in Blantyre and the subsequent flooding of Limbe stream forced FDH bank to remain closed on Tuesday.

The bank says in statement water flooded into its banking hall and did some damages which needed maintenance.
The bank said it would open on Wednesday.
The Monday late afternoon heavy rains accompanied by high speed wind blew of Bangwe Catholic church building roof and Makhetha Health Centre building roof.
However, it was all dry on Tuesday as schools and other public places were open and almost all shops in Limbe were open as well.
Officials from Blantyre City and District councils said they were yet to cost the damage.
